My Project
This is a project to provide sensory supplies to multiple schools in our district to help them become sensory-smart schools! These materials will be used for students with special needs and specifically sensory needs to help them be more regulated and ready to participate in learning! Many students with disabilities such as Autism or ADHD have difficulty regulating their sensory systems which can make sitting in a chair for class periods and attending to learning activities challenging. Having supplies that allow them to move their bodies at their desk can help them get the input they need to feel regulated and ready to learn within their classroom environment!
