Our students have been using the new seat cushions and drying rack every day, and they've already made a meaningful difference. During a recent painting project, students were able to sit comfortably and stay focused longer, while the drying rack allowed us to neatly organize and preserve their artwork as it dried. It made the entire process smoother and more enjoyable for everyone.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were incredibly excited and eager to use them. The seat cushions immediately became a favorite, creating a cozy and inviting learning space, and the drying rack sparked enthusiasm for more hands-on art activities. It truly felt like a special upgrade to our classroom environment.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, students will continue building on their creativity through a series of art projects that incorporate painting and mixed media. While a very simple piece of equipment it has been crucial to this classrooms ability to provide efficiency and improved access for students. High schools are large campuses for those with special needs and especially for those with mild to moderate ambulation issues. Its a tough place to be to be able to walk short distances but do so slowly. When a student needs to get across campus for inclusion classes like art, yoga, etc this transport wheelchair allows the students to get to destination efficiently and allows them to then work on safe walking to interact with peers. \r\nAs an added bonus this class does some community life skills training outside of the class including a student store at lunch, \"student work\" programs and leisure field trips (bowling). This helps any student that may need assistance to be involved in all education and fun activities. It is great to see the smiles on students faces when they get to be included.
