This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We would like to refresh our sensory resources that we have found help our students with autism focus, calm down and be redirected throughout the day.

Many of our students are non-verbal and struggle to regulate their emotions.

We live in a large urban city where our senses are on overload! Sitting in a dark tent, playing with slime or sand, and gluing objects to a paper have all shown to be successful with our students. They use the sensory items to calm down, distract or even adjust their bodies back to the goals of the classroom. Your support would greatly help us get these items to our kids so they can be more successful and less stressed.
