This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m reaching out for support in creating a more sensory-friendly learning environment. Specifically, we are in need of sensory seating items, such as rocking chairs, bouncy seat cushions, and donut balls, that provide the calming input many of our students require to feel safe, focused, and ready to learn.

These tools are not just "extras"—they are essential.

Sensory seating can help regulate emotions, improve attention, and allow students to engage more meaningfully in classroom activities. For a child with autism, having the option to gently rock or bounce while learning can be the difference between a difficult day and a successful one.
