Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Welcome! I teach the Deaf and Hard of Hearing classroom for 7th and 8th grade. Along with hearing difficulties, some of our students may be affected by autism, ADHD, and learning disorders. In our classroom, we let the students choose their seating option in order to better focus or learn in a comfortable way.

In order to give my students more options, I am looking to add more alternative seating, as well as bouncy bands to better enhance focus and learning.

The bean bags are a comfortable place to sit to study, focus on lessons and work one-on-one with staff members. The gaming rocking chairs would be perfect for students who like to rock while working or when they need to stim. Bouncy bands and wiggle seats will help students who can't sit still in their desk or chair and need external input to help focus. All of these seating options will make the classroom an easier and safe place to learn for our students.
