Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a special education class of 13 magnificent learners! We have high expectations for our scholars and we need appropriate learning materials to support our kinesthetic and sensory learners. Our students need to move, touch, experiment, and experience learning in tangible and creative ways.
Incorporating play, multi-sensory experiences, and movement makes content learning more accessible for learners of diverse abilities.
An equitable classroom is one that incorporates the learning needs of students of every ability.
Geometry manipulative will support student mastery of content through play, art, and exploration. Petri dishes will be an exciting way to explore naturally occurring shapes through microbiology. These kids are going to change the world.
