My Project

A sensory space is a designated area within a school that can support a student’s sensory preferences and needs. It is a space that aims to provide students with the individualized sensory input they need to self-regulate, so they can be better prepared for learning and interacting with others.

The items in this project will help promote and increase sensory stimulation, enhance learning through play, improve balance, movement, and spatial orientation, develop communication skills, improve focus, and promote socialization.

This sensory room is specifically designed to combine a range of sensory stimuli to help individuals develop and engage their senses. Sensory rooms are focused on providing the best sensory input for a child’s specific needs. By using a variety of therapeutic equipment, kids learn to self-regulate their behaviors and ultimately improve their focus.
