My Project

Our sensory room at our elementary school is a transformative space for students, offering a multitude of benefits that cater to their individual needs and enhance their overall well-being. We have a wide range of students who utilize the space from pre-k to 5th grade. The goal of our room is to enhance students' abilities using items such as light table materials and a swivel sensory chair to appropriately regulate their sensory needs, improve their ability to access their curriculum, which will increase their availability to learn, and assist with emotional regulation. Overall, our sensory room plays a crucial role in supporting the academic, emotional, and social development of students. Our staff prides itself in creating the most inclusive environment for our students to be as successful as possible, updating and refreshing our sensory room will increase our ability to do so.
