My Project

Our district is coming off a 34 million dollar shortfall which has greatly impacted staffing and budgets for non-essential items. This high school has two new special education teachers who are trying to set-up their classrooms with the sensory tools necessary to support their students and staff. Sensory equipment is vital for students with sensory sensitivities and/or sensory processing disorders as these tools help them to desensitize their sensory systems which will allow them to regain focus and control which can lead to increased cognition, increased retention of new information, and decreased behaviors in the classroom.
