Sensory Resources for Autism Classroom

Help me give my students the outlets and resources to self-regulate, self-soothe and receive sensory input within our classroom in appropriate and enjoyable ways!

My Project

Our Enhanced Autism program consists of kindergarten-6th grade students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder who require high levels of support and extra resources throughout their school day. All of these students are extremely sensory seeking and need additional resources to appropriately regulate their bodies and emotions. Items on this wishlist, such as the swing stand and multiple attachments and bounce-chairs, will help my students increase their learning potential by simultaneously getting their desired sensory input. Other items, such as the sensory tables that can be filled with a variety of objects and materials, can not only help students who enjoy tactile exploration - it can also help our students who have sensory sensitivities get exposure to new textures and experiences in a controlled way.
