This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Sensory items help our students with the tools they need to manage stress, regulate emotions and maintain focus. Sensory tools- fidgets, stress relief objects, calming textures and sensory rich materials-can help create a more inclusive environment supporting students with diverse needs and fostering a space we can all thrive.

These items help students calm down during overwhelming moments, increase concentration and build on their social emotional learning.

It’s important to remind our high schools students that engaging in sensory items isn’t just for younger children but a helpful tool for success
