My Project
I have several students on my caseload with sensory processing disorder. These students have difficulty regulating their sensory needs in order to pay attention to a lesson.
By offering students various sensory toys, we can help them to gain the input they need to regulate their bodies in space.
Once they have this sensory input, they are better able to focus on the lesson in front of them.
Each student is very different and it is important to provide various toys and sensory objects to see what a student might prefer.
