Help me give my students a variety of sensory materials to help their brains grow!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Bos's classroom raised $574

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Young children need a variety of materials to help them learn and grow. The sensory activities I choose will help with fine and gross motor development, cognitive development and problem solving skills.
Sensory play helps with brain development through increased nerve connections and pathways which lead to the ability to complete complex tasks.
When students engage in these activities, they build flexibility and adaptability to function in our world in all aspects of their lives. By engaging their senses the world becomes more predictable because they have the right tools and have practiced using them.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
