My Project

Sensory play in the classroom for young children is so important. This sand and water table will allow them to explore their environment and use fine gross motor skills. I plan on filling the sensory table with many items from nature for students to play and create with. Sensory play also promotes exploration, creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving. Brain development increases significantly with this type of play. Sensory experiences are crucial for young children's development because they help build neural connections, enhance cognitive skills, and promote overall well-being. From textures to sounds and smells, each sensory input contributes to their sensory integration, which is vital for their physical, cognitive, and emotional development.
