Sensory Play for Social Distancing K!

Help me give my students a chance to play while maintaining social distancing!

My Students

My school is located in a small community with a population of around 800. Our student population is high poverty and highly mobile. As a district, we currently qualify for 100% free lunch due to our high percentage of students from poverty backgrounds.

My students are active, curious and so eager to learn!

I think one of the best things ever is helping young children develop a love of learning. It is so rewarding to see how much my little students grow during the year.

My Project

Next fall we are facing some challenges in education. I feel that opportunities for play are crucial for early learning. Normally, my young students have an hour each day in play centers where they cooperate and practice social skills. But how can you incorporate play while maintaining 6 feet of social distance?

I would love your help in providing sensory beads, Mad Mattr dough, slime snd kinetic sand for my students to play with at school.

I hope that by bringing in some different materials for play, my students can still experience the benefits of play and be safe and healthy!
