Help me give my students a sensory table to help them explore materials using all of their senses, calm down when having strong feelings, and connect with their peers through play and discovery.

My Project
My students have shown great interest in using all five of their senses to learn about the world around them. I'd like to provide my students with a safe, open, and intentional space to explore using their senses while also building fine motor skills.
This new sensory table will be so crucial in allowing students authentic STEAM learning opportunities.
I plan to work with the class to rotate the contents every other week so that students will have access to many different materials, tools, and challenges.
Students in kindergarten this year have lived half of their lives in a global pandemic. They have been through so much in their 5-6 years, and many were unable to attend preschool. Sensory tables can help students regulate their emotions in a safe way. Students in my class will benefit from learning how to use the sensory table as a calm down strategy.
Thank you for considering donating to this project. My students and I are so grateful!
