This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a first-grade class of energetic and enthusiastic students in the Bronx. We are a diverse class who are eager to learn. My students are so excited to come to school each day and enjoy spending time in the classroom. They love to learn new things every day! Our school is an amazing school with amazing students and staff. However, we are a new school and are extremely limited when it comes to resources.

This is why I need sight word and phonics resources to support my students in their word work!

My school isn't able to provide extra materials or supplies to our classrooms. Please help me provide my students with a multi-sensory approach to word work! My class needs a lot of support with letters, sounds, and sight words! These amazing materials (gel boards, sight word baggies, letter beads, and crochet mats) will allow my students to practice these skills in a very hands-on way.
