My Students

My students are my inspiration! They are positive, enthusiastic and resilient. They are eager to challenge themselves in their learning and strive to utilize strategies to cope with the many social and emotional challenges that they may face. I work with about 600 PK-5th grade students from diverse cultures, special needs and varying economic backgrounds.

My Project

Sensory Overload! Regulating Emotions! These are just a few things that elementary aged students struggle with and have proven to affect academic performance and overall social and emotional health. A Sensory Path is a fun, interactive and innovative way to incorporate movement into the building that can support students when overwhelmed with outside stimulus or used as a strategy to regulate emotions to optimize academic performance and social/emotional health! Social Emotional health has always been important, but we have found during this pandemic it is more important than ever!
