My Project
I have students with special needs, and I’ve noticed that they can become overstimulated easily. I have asked my principal if there was a small empty room available that I can turn into a sensory room for when they need a break. These items, such as the bean bag chairs, puzzle, and magnetic letters, will help me start that room and with time I will be able to add new things as I adjust to their needs and what works for them. Being a special needs teacher you always have to think of innovative ways to adhere to your students and I believe that this sensory break will help them significantly and this is something that will not only benefit my students or those with special needs, but this sensory room can also be used by the entire school
