My Students
I teach in a Title I school, where most families receive assistance due to low income. All students need access to high-quality education and many of my students face challenges on a daily basis.
All my students are unique and deserve the best education possible.
I look at each child individually and I am thankful for the opportunity to support their social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs.
My Project
The sensory letter blocks and translucent beads will help increase my students' cognitive, fine motor, problem solving, creative, and imaginative skills. These letter blocks and beads will be used with the light table and I know that when they see them light up, their senses will ignite!
Researchers have proven that children who engage in sensory play, have the ability to complete more complex learning tasks.
Not only will my students be able to engage in hands-on learning at the light table, but they will also get hands-on learning during guided reading groups. The table top double-sided magnetic dry erase board will allow me and my students to interact at the same time. This will definitely be a game changer!
