Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are vibrant, curious, and full of potential. Each one of them brings a unique perspective and set of needs to the classroom. I teach in a gen ed classroom that has several special needs students, where students with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and other developmental challenges work hard every day to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. For them, learning is often about more than just reading and math—it's also about regulation, focus, and comfort.

Sensory and fidget tools help my students stay calm, engaged, and ready to learn.

These tools aren't just "toys"—they are essential supports that help my students manage anxiety, sensory processing issues, and attention difficulties. Having access to fidgets, tactile balls, play doh, water timers, and other sensory items will provide them with choices and strategies for self-regulation. Your donation will not only fund materials—it will fund dignity, independence, and success for some truly amazing kids.
