Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

When students are given the resources to address their sensory needs, they soar social-emotionally and academically. Providing them options that work to fit their specific need gives them the autonomy they seek. Our students with exceptionalities need tools to help them receive needed sensory outlets.

The materials and supplies I am hoping to get for my kindergarten students will provide additional supports needed to function in a classroom setting successfully.

The weighted items, compression vests, sensory path, and sensory items will help my students to have an outlet for overwhelming emotions and overstimulation.
