My Project
Our students are coming to school dysregulated while not having a functional way to communicate this need. Our classroom is part of a brand new program this year, with a very minimal budget that is currently covering the most basic school supplies.
As our students are mostly non-verbal, the stress of being dysregulated is currently manifesting into challenging behaviors.
Our students are only 3-4 years old with developmental delays and/or autism. We want to teach our students as soon as possible safe ways to regulate their nervous systems paired with multimodal communication opportunities so that they can participate fully and safely alongside their peers in the classroom.
