Sensory Materials for Tactile Learners

My Project

My students were unable to share materials during Covid-19. They are so excited to be back in their normal routine of sharing items and using the sensory table as a calming area. We had to discard a lot of sensory materials during Covid-19 as they were porous and did not fair well with the frequent cleaning and disinfecting. These sensory items will give students an opportunity to explore a variety of textures. Most of these items are also washable so they can safely be cleaned and disinfected. I plan to add the magnetic tiles in with the sensory items to create another layer for our more advanced students.
