This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Transitional Kindergarteners are from a very low-income area in Fresno, California. Many students come from single parent homes and helped raised by their grandparents. My students are very impressionable and come with a lot of needs. They need positive influences and that's what I want to provide for them. My kids are bright and I want to make sure I give them a great foundation that leads to a successful life.

My Project

Sensory play is one of the best ways to aid in the development of a child. Having a sensory table full of materials not only allows children's hands to get stronger to hold crayons or scissors, but gets children to use all five of their senses as well. The table will be set up to let children learn and engage their senses by interacting with everything that is being presented to them. Using their hands is enticing to children and helps them have fun! This is a great tool for 5 year olds!
