Help me give my students a light sensory table to encourage the development of a wide range of skills, including fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, writing skills, color recognition, and more.
A Sensory Light Table will enlighten the learning of my BRIGHT little learners. Impacted by COVID-19, many of my current students had limited opportunities to early childhood preschool and play dates. Full day K is a big transition and I am looking for tools to engage students, while calming and regulating big feelings. A sensory light table will provoke imagination and improve observation skills. Light tables improve emergent literacy, math, and science skills. It also enhances problem-solving, spatial awareness, language development, as well as pattern and color recognition. Light tables provide opportunities for creative tasks, fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, and pre-writing skills. Finally, a light sensory table encourages tactile exploration and has the ability to calm and regulate students with elevated emotions.
