My Project
Our classroom is hoping to add academic learning into sensory activities. We can do this by incorporating letters and numbers into water play with the complete set of floating water bubbles. We can also work on some essential fine motor skills by fishing for letters.
Emotional regulation and academic learning can happen at the same time!
When students become over stimulated, the calming corner will have items such as weighted blankets and stuffed animals, textured mats, and revolving lights to help ground them.
These tools will help engage children with autism engage in activities that will stimulate growth in all areas of devcelopment.
