My Project

The early learners in my classroom will greatly benefit from sensory materials as they explore different interdisciplinary units of study! Our classroom currently has a sensory table, however; we are lacking important tools that would greatly improve this center for our students.

Hands-on materials such as kinetic sand and sensory dough will enable students to engage in meaningful play experiences throughout the school year, while also strengthening fine motor skills needed for writing!

As a result of purposeful play using sensory tools, our pre-K explorers will further develop fine motor and language skills-- skills that are essential as they begin writing and using verbal expression. These sand tools will also extend across disciplines such as math, science and literacy!
