Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I teach kindergarten and most kindergarten students are very hard to keep settled. Some students even struggle to the point that they need things such as as noise canceling headphones, etc. I believe that

I will be able to create a sensory area for them in my classroom and making it a calming, welcoming environment overall by lightening the mood if my project is funded.

Students will be able to use the fidgets to use when they are in need of moving around. The fidget tubes will also help to calm them down. They will be able to use the different lighting taps to help retrain their brain to get back on track.

Overall, we can help to decrease the load in their minds so that they can then in turn focus on learning.
