Sensory Kits For Teachers

Help me give my students the ability to calm down in their classrooms so they can better participate with their teachers.

My Students

My students are our future leaders! They are extremely gifted, talented and capable youth who need some emotional, social and educational guidance. They are diverse and wonderful!

These supplies will allow me to teach skills that are societally lacking and serve the emotional needs of the students and teachers in our school.

In this school, there is an emotionally disturbed unit, I will have the opportunity to work with these toughest of tough kids and teach them about love, hard work, resilience, feelings, relationships, setting and reaching goals and how to love themselves and others.

My Project

These sensory kits will allow teachers to direct students to self-calm and refocus on class lessons.

Students are dealing with a lot of trauma, and teachers need more tools to help them succeed.

These resources will allow me to create a better counseling program for the school and be able to reach all students at an equitable level.

Students need to focus their attention on learning, not on trying to resolve emotional or mental health concerns. That's why I'd like to supply the teachers with these kits so the students can actually learn in the classroom and not worry about trauma.
