My Project
My classroom has unique learners who are in need of motivational reinforcements, items for sensory seeking needs, water bottles, and snacks for students who are unable to bring one. With the impact COVID-19 pandemic had on learning, these items will help our classroom head in the right direction for optimal learning!
When children eat regularly scheduled nutritious snacks and meals, blood sugar levels remain constant which allows for optimal opportunity for learning and regulating behavior.
My students need as many opportunities as possible to move and exercise their fingers without disrupting the entire class and sensory items provide that opportunity. These items will also be utilized as incentives to encourage positive classroom behaviors and reward acts of kindness throughout the day. These reinforcers will make learning fun and increase my students' interest during more difficult tasks. The snacks will help to fill up our snack pantry for any student in need.
