Sensory Items for the Speech Room

Help me give my students sensory items for the speech room. My students need sensory items to regulate and focus on language tasks.

My Project

My students range from preschool through fifth grade with a wide variety of disabilities (autism, intellectual disability, ADHD, language impairment). All my students come to the speech room to receive their speech services. Many students have sensory differences that make learning speech and language difficult due to dysregulation. They would benefit from sensory items to help regulate so we can focus on language.

Many of my students need extra sensory input to focus.

My professional philosophy is first comes regulation, then engagement, then language. I have seen a great improvement in language when students are regulated first.
