My Project
Sensory tools are a huge part of success when working with students with disabilities and even those without disabilities. Each student has different needs, preferences, and learning styles. Therefore, it is important to have multiple sensory items that are easy to access throughout the day in order to best accommodate each child. Whether it be noise canceling headphones, a fidget, or an interactive learning tool, these materials will ensure that all students are able to learn to their full potential in a manner that best suits themselves. Each sensory tool enables kids to maintain focus and calm when the environment, academic or social, becomes too overwhelming or uncomfortable.
With this project, I hope to provide my students with simple tools that will enable them to be successful each and everyday.
The requested tools will promote independence as student will learn how to use them on their own and cope in challenging times.
