Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The ESOL room is full of color, lighting, books, materials, and engaging items. We want every student to walk into our space knowing there is something for them to connect with and feel comfortable while in our space and our school. We currently have two sensory mats on the floor that are hot ticket items! Every person that comes to our room, adults and students, is drawn to the mats. We want more!

Having a little spark of excitement and fun in our room makes the space so much more productive!

Having small sensory floor mats will allow students to each have their own mat to squish around as they complete their work. The giraffe desk sensory items will be used to group and to also keep kids focused on the task at hand.
