Sensory Gym For Students with ASD and Sensory Integration Disorder
My students need a sensory gym including a tee-pee, sensory chairs, sensory bean bags, sensory body suit, sensory stixx, and fidget toys.

My Students
Every morning we are greeted by a loving group of students who are eager to learn. Our class is populated by Kindergarteners with autism, sensory integration disorder, and developmental delays.
Our kindergarten class is populated by a very diverse group of students - all with their very own bright personalities!
However, one thing they all have in common is that they absolutely love coming to school and are always eager to learn! We have a nurturing classroom with the goal of truly fostering a love for learning in the little ones!
Everyone has different learning needs in our classroom, thus all lessons are specifically differentiated to reach all students in the classroom. Our students have definitely embraced the idea that each one of us is unique and special in our own way, yet we are all equal and treated with the same love and respect.
My Project
I am creating a sensory gym in my classroom to address the needs of my students with autism, ADHD, and sensory integration disorder. I am requesting a rug, sensory chairs, bean bags, and a tent to create a sensory gym in my classroom.
My students are very active and require A GREAT DEAL of sensory stimulation.
A sensory gym would give them the space they need to allow themselves to regulate their emotions when they become anxious and need a break. This will be a quiet space where students can calm down and soothe themselves. The tent will create a safety area where they can be alone to read and self-regulate.
