Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of sensory gloves and neck pillows is a must in the Special Education classroom. My students seek out harmful activities like hitting and biting themselves in order to self-soothe. Many times, my students are trying to communicate and/or have high anxiety from attempting to communicate. They end up hitting their heads and biting their hands as a way to calm their anxieties and frustrations from their struggle with communications.

By donating to our project, you will not only help my students not to harm themselves but allow my students to decrease their anxiety and enjoy their time in the classroom.
