Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a special day class with 15 students that are in grades Kinder-2nd. I have students with a wide range of disabilities and they are kinesthetic learners. They are kinesthetic learners and benefit from multi-modality forms of learning to stay engaged and motivated to learn.

A sand table would be a great addition to the class because it would be a fun and engaging way for my students to learn skills.

If we can get the sand table, we can add accessories for our phonics centers, math centers, STEM activities, and sensory sand play. This will also help them work collaboratively and build language in centers.
