This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This school year I am teaching Pre-K which means that it is essential for them to learn through play. My class is a full inclusion class which means I am working with students that have a special need. It is essential to be able to teach all my students the skills they need to succeed in life.

Therefore, this project is focusing on materials that will provide my students with sensory activities like slime, kinetic sand and play dough that will help them build on their fine motor skills, help them relax, and stimulate their brains.

As well, this project will not only provide sensory activities for my students but they will be able to work on Science concepts when they are making their play dough! Hands-on learning is so important for all students but even more for our youngest learners. With this project, they will be able to learn through play and doing.
