This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my Pre-K classroom sensory play and exploration is essential for their academic and social development. We currently use sensory buckets that I fill with various materials throughout the year. Sensory materials include sand, water, pom-poms, rice, and rubber mulch just to name a few. Sometimes we hide alphabet or number beads inside for the students to search and match within the sensory materials.

Sensory exploration through hands on play enhances science, social, and academic objectives in a Pre-K classroom.

Our buckets that we currently use have served their purpose, but having a beautiful sensory table like this for students to use in the classroom would be amazing! I thank you in advance for your support and contribution!
