This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a strategies class with 6 amazing kiddos. They are bright, energetic and full of love. They enjoy sensory time the most and learn the best with hands on activities. We have been working very hard throughout the year on our letters, numbers and fine motor skills with the help of sensory activities. They love to learn when they can manipulate the things in front of them. I have seen how much more engaged they are when they are given the opportunity to use sensory materials. With access to more sensory options, they can continue to grow and build on their skills.

Not only will my students improve their academics and fine motor skills with these items, but it will help them with their language development and social skills.

All my students would greatly benefit from the social interactions and conversations these activities can bring. They will be able to continue their learning with these new and engaging items.
