Help me give my students sensory items for our sensory play room. My students need sensory floor tiles they can use to explore different textures. A light table will help them discover different materials and patters.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work as a Pre K teacher for children with special needs. I get to work with nine amazing children who are on the Autism Spectrum. They are 3, 4 and 5 years old and have Developmental Delays and Speech and Language Delays.
Every day they come into the classroom and amaze me at what they can learn and achieve.
They have many challenges they face daily, but they are amazing little children who I am blessed to work with every day.
My Project
Having a sensory room is great for students with special needs. They can use this room to help them calm down throughout the day and also help them explore different textures. This increases their sensory skills.
Having a light table with manipulatives will help my students enjoy the sensory room, making it fun and interactive.
With these materials this will help my students build skills they will need in the future.
Children with Autism need a lot of structure, routine, and tactile items on a regular basis. I am trying to provide a classroom that will have them engaged in their learning daily.
