My Project
My students are amazing! They are eager to learn and participate in new activities, however they often have difficulty paying attention and have many sensory needs that I address throughout the day.
My students are 5 to 14 years old but are all functioning at a preschool level academically.
All of my students have limited social skills and have significant language deficits in expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language skills. They often have difficulty with intrinsic motivation and have difficulties paying attention. I would like to create a calming bucket to help ny students select activities that will help them feel calm when thier sensory systems are disregulated.
I am requesting pencils and sensory exploration activities to help create a calming space. These trinkets will help my students gain motivation to participate in difficult activities.
