Sensory Exploration and Regulation

My Project

My students with disabilities learn best when they are moving and exploring. The sensory bin and filler will be a game changer for the way they learn new concepts and vocabulary.

The sensory filler will be used to hide the acrylic table scatter and printed/laminated pictures I make.

The students will search through the filler in order to find thematic and descriptive items. They will learn the function of items and be able to demonstrate sharing and social communication with their classmates. Foam letters will be hidden for letter-sound and literacy concepts.

Every student has fallen somewhat behind since the beginning of the pandemic. This gives the students with disabilities access to another unique way they learn.
