My Project

My students need sensory options to help support their differing sensory needs in a school setting. Each of my students exhibits some sort of internal imbalance or sensory and emotional regulation challenge that can imped their ability to access curriculum at school, and can result in the child becoming overwhelmed, anxious, or in distress. I want to be able to proactively offer my students choices to help them recieve the sensory input that is needed to calm their small bodies. Our program currently has a sensory room that is in need of equipment. This sensory item provides a variety of motor and sensory input while also challenging their balance. It also gives a child rhythmic rocking movements that can calm and soothe. I know my students would love this item!
