My students need a variety of 12 sensorimotor activities, including Baby Tangle Manipulatives, Colorburst Bubble Balls, a SensaPit, a SensaRock Rocking Chair, Squishy Balls and a Small Light Table.
We are an early childhood public school which includes grades pre-k through first grade. Our students include a significant population of high needs children, such as vision impaired, physically handicapped, autistic, and multisensory impaired.
We are lacking in supplies to meet the needs of our special needs community. My goal is to set up a "multi-sensory lab" which not only will provide growth for our sensory impaired children, but will provide enrichment for all students in the school as well.
I need multisensory activities. The vision impaired students will benefit from objects that light up and have high contrast. The tactile items such as squishy balls will enhance motor development in the autistic and handicapped students, as well as all young children in general. Children with limited mobility will enjoy the sensation of equipment they can rock in.
Your help will ensure that my students receive the sensory enrichment they so desperately need.
