This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our Extended Year Program (ESY) is a vital part of our students' success. As part of their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), many of our students qualify for Extended Year Services (ESY) to prevent skill regression and reinforce essential learning during the summer months. These amazing children, many of whom have autism, developmental delays, or other special needs, benefit from continued instruction during the summer to maintain their progress and meet their IEP goals.

We want to provide a learning environment that’s not just educational—but also calming, engaging, and emotionally supportive.

However, we are in urgent need of materials and supplies to make this program successful. We’re seeking items like adaptive learning tools, sensory supports, fine motor manipulatives, visual aids, and basic classroom supplies to keep students engaged, regulated, and making progress during this crucial period. To do that, we’re requesting sensory toys, social-emotional learning tools, and interactive materials designed specifically for students with special needs.

These tools will help:

Regulate emotions and reduce anxiety with sensory fidgets, weighted items, and calming visuals

Build social-emotional skills through visual prompts, games, and feelings charts

Keep learning fun and interactive with hands-on manipulatives and play-based learning kits

Your support will directly impact our students’ ability to stay focused, feel safe, and continue growing during this important summer session. Every item funded will be used daily to help our students feel empowered, supported, and ready to learn.
