They were very excited when they first saw the new resources and immediately wanted to explore and use them. The play tunnel, ball-catching set, and paddles have encouraged movement, cooperation, turn-taking, and hand-eye coordination. These materials have been especially helpful during our large-group activities, when children practice listening, taking turns, and interacting with their classmates.\r\n\r\nWe are currently learning about families and the people who are important in our lives. During our \"Our Families\" large-group activity, the children pass a ball around the circle, say their names, and share who is in their family. The new materials help make activities like this more engaging and give students opportunities to build language, confidence, social-emotional skills, and gross motor skills at the same time. Our insect figures, insect X-ray cards, and colored cellophane have also brought excitement to our science explorations by encouraging children to observe, compare, ask questions, and experiment with colors and light.\r\n\r\nThank you for making these hands-on learning experiences possible. As we continue through the school year, we will use these resources in our classroom centers, science investigations, movement activities, and group lessons. The sensory tools, manipulatives, puzzles, and books were introduced during small-group instruction, center time, and social-emotional learning activities. These materials were intentionally placed in easily accessible areas so students could independently choose tools that supported their individual needs throughout the day.\r\n\r\nThe sensory resources were used to help students regulate their emotions, improve focus, and engage more fully in learning activities. Teachers modeled appropriate use of each tool and guided students in understanding how different materials could help them calm their bodies, express emotions, and participate positively with peers.\r\n\r\nWe also observed meaningful social growth. Students practiced turn-taking, cooperative play, and communication while sharing materials and working together in small groups.
