This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I admire most about the students I work with is their remarkable creativity. One student, in particular, has a strong affinity for using paints, primarily tempera. During our art and crafts sessions, the students demonstrate their creativity by exploring various mixed media, especially through painting. An opportunity for them to self soothe when needed.

Moreover, some students have expressed a desire to broaden their creative pursuits beyond paint, showing interest in activities such as plastic needlepoint and slime-making.

Engaging with different textures and colors will enable our students to express themselves more uniquely and foster their artistic development. So very important for my students.
