My Project

For my students with autism, a sensory corner is such an important part of the classroom. Students with autism typically have sensory needs that are greater than neurotypical students. Students with autism often need spaces that are specifically designed to be calming and relaxing in order to meet these needs.

The space I want to create will be designed to meet my students sensory needs when they are feeling overwhelmed, dysregulated or when they just need a break.

I am excited to use the items listed in this project to help create a safe place in our classroom for anyone who is feeling dysregulated. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my project and for considering donating!
