This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
"If we teach today’s students as we taught yesterday’s, we rob them of tomorrow." ~John Dewey. I teach students with moderate to severe special needs. They benefit from hands on sensory learning. Having a light table and accessories will go a long way in helping them remember math facts, teach sorting, and help them learn to read by learning letters and letter sounds. Having our own light table with accessories will take our Math, ELA, and Social Emotional learning to another level!
It is my passion to help my students reach their goals and be successful in school.
Any extra help I, as the teacher, can give them in the classroom is crucial to having them succeed, not only in my classroom but in their entire school career.
My students stay with me for two- three years and then they will move on to another teacher. My students are wonderful kids who love to learn and just do it differently. Albert Einstein once said, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” I want to empower my students and show them how smart they are!
